Prayer times and exchange rates on your new tab
LookTab puts the things you check every day on the new tab — including prayer times, exchange rates and gold prices.
Prayer times
The prayer times widget shows today's times for your city and counts down to the next one.
- Several calculation methods, including the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye (Diyanet), Muslim World League and Umm al-Qura.
- The Hijri date and the Qibla direction.
- A monthly timetable and a Ramadan timetable.
- Optional reminders, with a soft chime, before or at each time.
- Calculated on your device; the widget and its settings stay on this device and are not synced (only the city name you type is sent to look the city up).
Exchange rates and gold
The currency widget shows the rates you follow with small trend charts and a quick converter.
- Daily rates from the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) and the European Central Bank.
- Gold prices, including gram gold.
- Alerts when a rate crosses the level you set.
How to add them
- Add LookTab from the Chrome Web Store and open a new tab.
- Open the widget gallery and add Prayer times and Currency & gold (or start from the Informed template).
- Choose your city and calculation method, and the currencies you want to follow.
- Turn on reminders or rate alerts in each widget's settings if you like.
Questions
Are the prayer times the same as Diyanet's?
Choose the Diyanet (Türkiye) method in the widget's settings. Times are calculated with the open-source adhan-js library and can differ from official tables by a minute or so.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
From the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye and the European Central Bank (daily reference rates); gold prices come from a live gold price service.
Is it free?
Yes. Both widgets are free and there are no ads.
